How It Works

Air freight moves cargo through a structured process managed by a logistics provider like xpedra You first book a shipment, providing details such as weight, dimensions, and destination. The provider handles export customs clearance and trucks your goods to the origin airport's cargo terminal. There, shipments are consolidated into Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and loaded onto a cargo or passenger aircraft. After the flight, cargo is unloaded, broken down, and cleared through import customs at the destination airport. Finally, the provider arranges last-mile truck delivery to your door. Charges are based on the higher of actual weight or dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 6000). This method is ideal for urgent, high-value, or perishable goods, offering speed and security, though at a higher cost than sea or ground shipping.
